Approved Product List (APL)

Our job at iSelect is to help you understand your health insurance needs and then to recommend a product from our list of approved products (we call this our APL) that meets these needs and that is within your budget.

We are not owned by any fund and our satisfaction derives from finding the product that suits you.

Yes, we do get paid a fee from the insurers. This fee may be an upfront fee, an ongoing fee or a combination of both – that is what keeps us in business and makes the service free to you!

We have processes in place to ensure that our recommendations to you are always appropriate.

By appropriate we mean that the product meets your stated requirements, needs and budget.

In making an appropriate recommendation we only consider those policies contained within our list of approved products.

This list represents policies that iSelect assesses as suitable to offer to you based on product quality and other metrics, policies that participating health funds wish to offer to our customers and finally policies that enable us to meet both participating fund and iSelect commercial needs.

The policy recommended to you, from this list, is then chosen only after thoroughly understanding your needs and considering your budget.
