Terms and Conditions
- Information on how to claim flights, form part of these Terms and Conditions. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
- This offer is only open to persons who are Australian Residents aged 18 years and over. Note: where an annual Overseas Visitors Health insurance policy is purchased, only overseas visitors with Australian visas and permits aged 18 years and over will be also eligible. Employees and their immediate Families of iSelect are ineligible to participate. The following are eligible products: any combined Hospital AND Extras health insurance policy, annual Overseas Visitors Health insurance policy or life insurance policy with an annual premium exceeding $500 (excluding applicable taxes and charges), provided it is new and originates from iSelect.
- For Health Insurance Policies: to remain eligible, iSelect customers must not cancel their insurance policy within 90 days of purchase of the policy. Where an annual Overseas Visitors Health insurance policy is purchased, this policy cannot be cancelled mid term. Those customers who do cancel their insurance policy within 90 days of purchase or mid-term, in case of annual Overseas Visitors Health insurance policies, will no longer be eligible. Life Insurance Policies: to be eligible, iSelect customers must receive acceptance of their policy by the relevant Life Insurer during the promotional period and agree to maintain their new policy for 90 days.
- This offer is restricted to one redemption per household for an eligible health and or life insurance policy purchased in Australia through iSelect during the Promotional Period (identified below). Only one free return flight offer may be reserved per household.
- The Promoters and the Suppliers reserve the right to verify the validity of all claims and disqualify any claimant for tampering with the claims process or for submitting a claim which is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- The offer opens on the 6th October 2009 and ends 30th November 2009 ("Promotional Period"). Eligible customers will receive a qualification email including a uniquely coded number that must be quoted in the booking process.
- To qualify for the free return flight offer, you must retain and quote your eligible uniquely coded reference number provided to you via email upon qualification to the nominated travel agency, within 30 days of the date of receiving final authorisation confirmation. Failure to quote your eligible uniquely coded reference number will disqualify you from claiming your flight.
The travel centre will arrange flights on your selected preferred dates but no guarantee is made as to the availability of seats or flights on specific dates. Virgin Blue fare types offered in this promotion comprise selected Blue Saver (R- Class) and GO Fares. Availability will be limited during School Holiday periods, Public Holidays, Long Weekends and the Christmas / New Year Period. - All flights are direct. No stopovers or alternate routes will be offered. You must depart from and return to the same point of departure.
- All flights are arranged by iSelect's nominated travel centre and are strictly subject to availability of flight times and dates for the flight requested.
- The Promoters and the Suppliers accept no responsibility for, and no refund will be provided to a claimant missing their flight.
- In addition to these Terms and Conditions, all flights will be subject to the standard terms and conditions of ticketing and passenger transportation for the relevant airline.
- Certain legislation, including the Australian Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth), may imply warranties or conditions or impose obligations which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified except to a limited extent. If those statutory provisions apply, notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms and Conditions, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoters’ liability for any breach of those warranties, conditions or obligations is limited to, at the Promoters' option (i) supplying the services again; or (ii) paying you the cost of having the services supplied again.
- Without limiting the operation of Clause 19, and to the extent permitted by law, the Promoters are not liable for any loss or damage (including without limitation consequential loss or damage) or claim (whether in the form of an allegation, demand, suit, action or other proceeding of any kind) arising in connection with the Free Return Flights Promotion.
- Claims and flights offered under this promotional offer are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or other financial benefits. Only the person registered on the Flight Claim Form will be eligible for the Return Flight offer.

Free flight are offered under Virgin Blue's BLUE SAVER AND GO FARE – FARE RULES terms and conditions
Baggage: Carry on only baggage is included at no cost. No free checked baggage allowance is included. Baggage allowance for checked luggage can be bought online before arriving at the airport; $8 per sector for allowance of up to 23kg. If purchased at the airport; $20 per sector for allowance up to 23kg. Prices are subject to change. - Transferable / Name Changes - Once booking has been made – no name change or passenger transfer is allowed.
- Flight Changes are allowed up to 24hrs before scheduled departure. Changes must be made via Virgins' Contact Centre for fee of AUD45 + any fare difference.
- Refunds / Cancellations are not permitted at anytime
- The Promoters and the Suppliers reserve the right to withdraw or replace this offer at any time with a product of similar value where agreed by both the Promoter and the Supplier.
- The Promoters and the Suppliers reserve the right to withdraw, cancel, vary or suspend this offer without notice in the event of war, earthquake, catastrophe, strikes or similar event.
- The Promoters' and the Suppliers' decision in relation to all aspects of this promotional offer is final and no further correspondence will be entered into. All correspondence regarding flight promotion should be directed to iSelect Free Return Flight Promotion, PO Box 2021 Moorabbin Vic 3189.
- Independent of this offer and subject to the nominated travel agents additional conditions, the travel agent will also be pleased to assist with accommodation and travel insurance requirements if required. Additional airfares for accompanying travelers can be purchased from the travel centre at market prices. All additional flights are subject to availability and conditions apply.
- Your personal information is being collected by iSelect "the Promoter" and the Suppliers. It will be used for purposes relating to your participation in the Promotion, including booking your flight and contacting you about your flight. In administering the Promotion, your personal details may also be disclosed to third party service providers for making flight arrangements. Read iSelect's Privacy Policy.
- Eligible consumers must provide a valid email address for us to correspond with them regarding the claim and advice process for the promotion.
- The Promoter is iSelect Pty Ltd (ABN: 48124302932) of Level 4, 973 Nepean Highway, Moorabbin, Melbourne VIC 3189. The Suppliers are Virgin Blue Airlines Pty Limited and Breakaway TravelClub Pty Ltd.

Health Insurance - Claims / Redemption Process
STEP 1
Simply purchase an eligible iSelect insurance policy through iSelect between 6th October 2009 and 30 November 2009. Eligible products are identified in the Promotion Terms and Conditions.
STEP 2
Within 7 days of purchasing an eligible product you will be emailed pre-qualification advice from iSelect confirming purchase. (This email will confirm your pre-qualification status only). To confirm your intention to participate in the free return flight offer you must reply to this pre-qualification email within 14 days of receipt. Customers who do not have access to email will be posted a pre qualification letter with details on how to claim.
STEP 3
Upon confirmation of your health insurance “confirmed member status” (in approximately 30-45 days), iSelect will email you confirming your qualification and provide you with a uniquely coded reference number. (Please retain your uniquely coded number for future reference). iSelect will require you to reply within 14 days of receipt of this confirmation email your unique iSelect customer ID number (obtained in Step 1 at purchase) and advise the name in which you intend to claim the free return flight offer.
STEP 4
iSelect will then send you a final authorised confirmation (within 7 days of receiving your iSelect customer ID number) providing details on how to book your flight. You must quote your uniquely coded reference number to claim your free return flight with our nominated travel agent. You must book your flight within 30 days of receiving final authorisation confirmation. Travel can be booked up to 6 months in advance. All flights must be taken within 6 months of the date of the final authorised iSelect confirmation.
The destination, date and time of travel is subject to the carrier’s availability of flights for this promotion. In the event that none of your preferences are available, the travel agent (identified in the Promotion Terms and Conditions) will select the closest available date of travel to your preferred destination.

Life Insurance - Claims / Redemption Process

Within 7 days of completion of your eligible policy you will be emailed pre-qualification advice from iSelect confirming purchase. (This email will confirm your pre-qualification status only). (Please retain your uniquely coded number for future reference). iSelect will require you to reply within 14 days of receipt of this confirmation email your life insurance policy number (obtained in Step 1 at completion of your policy) and advise the name in which you intend to claim the free return flight offer.
STEP 4
iSelect will then send you a final authorised confirmation (within 7 days of receiving your life insurance policy number) providing details on how to book your flight. You must quote your uniquely coded reference number to claim your free return flight with our nominated travel agent. You must book your flight within 30 days of receiving final authorisation confirmation. Travel can be booked up to 6 months in advance. All flights must be taken within 6 months of the date of the final authorised iSelect confirmation.

No, the free return flight offer includes government taxes and airport or passenger surcharges applicable for Australian domestic travel. -
Are flight times and departure/return dates subject to exclusions?
R-Class Blue Saver and GO Fare availability will be limited during certain periods including School Holidays, Public Holidays, Long Weekends and the Christmas / New Years Period. What if I live outside of the locations/destinations listed above?
Flights can only be taken from the cities and to the destinations detailed in the answer to Question 3. -
If I cancel my health or life insurance policy am I still eligible for a free return flight?
For health insurance policies: to be eligible, customers who purchase through iSelect must not cancel their combined hospital and extras health insurance policy within 90 days of the date of purchase of their policy. Where an annual Overseas Visitors Health Insurance policy is purchased this cannot be cancelled mid-term. For Life Insurance Policies: to be eligible, iSelect customers must receive acceptance of their policy by the relevant Life Insurer during the promotional period and retain the policy for a minimum of 90 days. -
After purchasing a health or life insurance policy with iSelect how do I claim my free return flight?
Following your purchase and qualification verification you will receive a uniquely coded reference number from iSelect. This uniquely coded number will need to be quoted when booking with our nominated Travel agent. -
