iSelect Free Flight FAQs

1. Will I have to pay any additional taxes and surcharges?
No, the free return flight offer includes government taxes and airport or passenger surcharges.

2. Are flight times and departure/return dates subject to exclusions?
Yes. The offer excludes school and public holidays and special event periods. Special event periods are generally major events or activities, such as the Melbourne Grand Prix, the NRL Grand Final, the Melbourne Cup and similar. All requested flights are subject to availability.

3. Which destinations are available for booking?

Sydney to:   Gold Coast, Coffs Harbour, Melbourne
Melbourne to:   Adelaide, Sydney, Gold Coast
Brisbane to:   Sydney, Rockhampton, Proserpine
Adelaide to:   Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart
Hobart to:   Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast
Perth to:   Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane
Cairns to:   Brisbane
Darwin to:   Brisbane

4. What if I live outside of the locations/destinations listed above?
Flights can only be taken from the Cities and to the destinations described in Question 3.  

5. If I cancel my health or life insurance policy am I still eligible for a free return flight?
For Health Insurance Policies: to be eligible, customers who purchase through iSelect must not cancel their health insurance policy within 30 days of the date of purchase of their policy.

For Life Insurance Policies: to be eligible, iSelect customers must receive acceptance of their policy by the relevant Life Insurer during the promotional period.

6.  After purchasing a health or life insurance policy with iSelect how do I claim my free return flight?
Click here to view the Claims Process. Simply, following your purchase you will receive a uniquely coded Boarding Pass from iSelect.

The Pass will ask you to visit a special website to download and complete your flight claim form, which needs to be lodged within 30 days of the date of the Pass. Once lodged you will receive a Flight Booking Form which you need to complete and return at least 60 days prior to when your requested outbound travel dates. Following receipt of the Booking Form, the promotional travel centre will then contact you by phone regarding your request.

7.  Where can I find the free flight offer terms and conditions?

8. How long do I have to redeem the offer?
All flights must be booked within 6 months and traveled within 12 months from the date of issue of the promotional Boarding Pass. The Flight Claim Form must be received by the travel centre (iSelect Free Flights; PO Box 657, North Sydney NSW 2060) within 30 days of your insurance policy purchase as stated on the uniquely coded Boarding Pass.

9. When can I claim my free return flight?
All flights need to be booked within 6 months and traveled completed within 12 months from the date of issue of the uniquely coded Boarding Pass.

The Flight Booking Form must be received by the travel centre not less than 60 days prior to your requested outbound travel dates.

10. Do I get to choose which airline I fly with?
No. This will be determined by the promoter of this offer.

11. How long is the offer running?
The offer opens on 1 September 2008 and ends on 31 October 2008.

12. Once I purchase my insurance policy during the offer period, do I need to do anything?
Within around 14 days of your health insurance policy purchase you will receive a uniquely coded Boarding Pass from iSelect. It will contain all the relevant information and what you need to do next. For Life Insurance Policy purchases, you will receive a uniquely coded Boarding Pass from iSelect within around 14 days of acceptance of your policy by the relevant Life Insurer. 13. If I purchase a family health insurance policy, will each member named on the policy receive a free flight?
No. The offer is restricted to one redemption (one person) per eligible policy.
